Imagine standing in front of a crowd, heart racing, palms sweaty, as you prepare to share your ideas with the world. You’re not alone; I’ve been right where you are. I’m your Coach, Kes LaGuerre, and I understand the struggle of feeling paralyzed by fear in high-stakes situations.
Growing up, I had dreams of being an R&B singer, inspired by legends like Usher and Boyz II Men. Music was my passion, my escape. So, in 2005, I took the leap and moved to Atlanta to pursue my dreams. But the spotlight soon revealed an unexpected challenge: stage fright.
I’ll never forget the embarrassment of freezing on stage in front of a room full of entertainers and industry professionals. I thought it was just nerves, so I tried again in more comfortable settings, only to experience the same crushing anxiety. At my lowest, I wasn’t even able to sing for my girlfriend.
After a long hiatus, I felt a spark of determination to reclaim my voice. Over the next seven years, I dove into over 700 books on psychology, personal development, visualization, and overcoming fears. I experimented with techniques, developing a daily practice that ultimately transformed my fear into confidence.
I went from singing for just one or two people to captivating packed rooms and achieving local success in the R&B scene. This journey fueled my passion for helping others conquer their fears, particularly those who feel anxious about public speaking and delivering presentations.
Now, as a Senior Coach with a leading training company for the past six years, I’ve empowered over 5,000 professionals across various industries to find their voices and speak confidently. And I’m thrilled to share my proven system with you through this mini-course.
